Pinetop!!

We went to Pinetop for a couple of days!!!! It was really fun and relaxing!!! Unfortunately, there was no snow.... at least where we were. :( But I still had tons of fun!!! I am building the Lego sets I got for Christmas right now and it is really fun!!! What did you get for Christmas? Post more later!!!!!!!! :)

Break!!!!!!!

I am so happy to be on Christmas Break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I am getting very busy now that I am on Break!!!!!! Christmas celebrations!!!!! :) I can't believe that there are only 7 more days until Christmas!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!! Today, we went to Christmas Brunch with the Christensens and my grandmother. It was fun and filling!!!!! I can't wait to celebrate Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

5 more school days until Christmas Break!!!!! As I get closer and closer to Christmas Break, I began to think about all the fun stuff we do and also why we celebrate. We celebrate the birth of the Christ Child, who came down to earth to later die on a cross to save our sins. It's just amazing when you think about it. In that case, I can't wait to celebrate Jesus' birth!!!!!! :)

1o more school days until Christmas Break!!!!!!!!!! Today I babysat Matthew from 9 to 12!!!!!! He was soooooo cute!!!!!!!! He loved Play Dough and he loved to go outside and stuff like that!!!! 11 school days until Christmas!!! I can't wait!!!! Right now, in art class, we are making a poster for some type of entertainment!!!! I am doing a poster that is advertising a Toby Mac concert!!!!!!!!! But... then I get all these questions like, "Who's Toby Mac?" and stuff like that. So I am always answering questions about Toby Mac. Anyway, I love the poster and if I can, I'll take a picture and post it on here...... maybe. I can't wait for Christmas Break!!!!!!! (I might do a post about gingerbread houses on Saturday! :))

I probably should have explained. There are 12 more SCHOOL DAYS (not counting today) until CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday I said there were 14 more days (counting that day) until CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!!!!!!! I'm going to start a countdown. I will try to post everyday and it might just be short like: 12 more days until CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!!!!! or something like that or it could be longer because I would tell you about a Christmas tradition or post pictures or something like that. Hope you guys are enjoying school (NOT!) and preparations for CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

14 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!! 14 more days until Christmas Break!!!!!! :) I can't wait!!!!!! Even though I just got off Thanksgiving Break...... I still can't wait for Break!!!!! Maybe..... just maybe it will even be snowing up in Pinetop!!!!! I love snow!!! It's so pretty and since I don't have to shovel it and stuff, I think snow is awesome!!!!!!! I also can't wait for this weekend!!!!!!! We are making gingerbread houses with my grandmother and my cousins (the other Everroads)!!!!!!! Gingerbread houses are so much fun!!! Thanksgiving and other stuff

Thanksgiving was awesome!!!!!! The food was really good and I had a great time with my family!!! Yesterday, we had what I call: take-everything-out-of-the-garage-(and I mean it!! even some of the cabinets!!) and-organize-it-and-make-some-selves-and-put-everything-back-into-the-garage-in-order-to-burn-off-the-Thanksgiving-dinner-we-ate-day Sorry if I lost you..... anway, now that our garage is organized, we are going to set up Christmas decorations!!! I can't wait to get ready for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

So, I haven't been posting for a while because I was busy..... I had a lot of homework and quizzes and tests and stuff..... So anyway... we did a Feed My Starving Childeren project at church!! We packed tons of meals for the childeren in countries that are starving!!! It was amazing how much could be done!!! If you were there, thanks for volunteering and if you weren't.... they have a site in Mesa.. I think... don't quote me on that.......... but you can volunteer to serve a shift there!!! Love ya'll!!

50th Post!!!!! :)

Ok! So this is my 50th post!!!!!! My 50th post since the beginning of this blog........ do I post too much??? This post is fully dedicated to celebrating 50 posts since I was with Emma and creating a blog..... it's been a long time since then. I'd like to thank Emma for helping me set up this blog and helping me with everything since I'm electronically challenged and for commenting and encouraging me and for making my AWESOME header........ the list goes on and on. So maybe it sounded like I was complaining....... I really just wanted to see if you guys would leave me a comment..... but I guess not.....
Anyway, Jack's team won the campinship!!! Jack did really well and for the first half, his team had only 5 players, which is the limit, and their coach was stuck on the freeway with 2 other players! The coach finally got to the game during the 3rd quarter and we won!! The score was 32 to 46!! Good job Jack!!!!

Sorry I have not been able to post lately. I was kinda busy this week. Today is Veteran's Day!!! I got the day off!! The teachers still gave me homework and stuff but I had an extra day to do it!!!! I think I'm making chocolate covered pretzels over the weekend with Maddie..... and I'll probably use them as dessert at Family Fellowship........ (so don't miss out Emma!) Do I post enough?? Friday!!!!

When will Friday come around?? I can't wait for Emma to come over and hang out for the whole weekend on Friday!!! I just realized......... that's almost THREE WHOLE DAYS!!!!!!!! Wow..... that's a long time..... BUT it will be SO MUCH FUN!!!(if Emma and I don't post at all the whole weekend... that's why :D) I can't wait Emma!!!!!!

I finally did it!! I switched lunch tables! I decided that I was gonna switch tables because I want to sit by some of my other friends. Some of the people from my old table called me a traitor though...... I think they were joking.... BUT my new table is soooooo much more fun!!! My new table is more talkative, fun, and it's just...... better. So I like that new arrangement. Today while we were in Physics, some 6th grader had left his binder on my table and I looked at it just to see what my Physics teacher gives them...... and........ what I found......... was......... kinda weird. I saw like this worksheet that said, "BASIS is under attack by a javelin and you need to destroy it! But first you need to prove your skills in proportionality and graphing." and then it had rankings of what you could be because the questions were worth so many points and stuff and it was CREEPY!!! I mean they are in 6TH GRADE!!! At least we don't get stuff like that........ but I mean.... that's just weird..... anyway......... oh! That picture on Emma's blog......... only begins to describe my brother..... so ya......

Halloween

Happy Halloween!! I went to my cousin's house and hung out with them. Oh, I also ate candy. But it was fun and I hope that you guys had fun too!! (by the way, this is the shortest post that I have written) :D

Halloween

It's Halloween again...... and everyone at my school is going to the school "Halloween Dance". I'm not though. And people ask why. And I tell them I'm busy or I have better things to do. I mean Halloween is just kinda spooky. I don't understand why we celebrate ghosts and goblins and dead people. It's just kinda creepy. And I'm not against trick or treating. That's fine. It's just.... when I think of Halloween, I think of spooky things and stuff like that. Trick or treating is totally fine. It's just celebrating ghosts and stuff that I find creepy (besides people who scarify their houses). I mean..... that's just weird in my opinion. No offence. But the people reading this blog probably agree with me. If you don't.... LEAVE!! Unless I know you. I just like to sit down, eat my own candy, and hang out with friends. That's my "Halloween" for you. But if you are trick or treating, Happy Trick or Treating!!!

Impact Camp!!!!

Impact Camp was awesome to the MAX!!!! I had so much fun!!! My cabin group was the Berry triplets (Mauve, Merrill, and Sara) and Maddie!!!!!! That made camp even more fun!! The theme was ultimate warrior!!! I was a elf from Lord of the Rings (elves from Lord of the Rings look VERY different from Santa's elves). And my costume was AWESOME!!!! I don't think we got any pictures of it unfortunately..... BUT I brought my marshmallow bow and arrow shooter that shoots marshmallows and Ryan (my youth pastor) was running away from me and covering his head because he didn't know what it was and because I was aiming it at him. It was HILARIOUS!!! Then he was 20 feet away from me and he asked me to shoot it at him. I knew it didn't shoot that far but I shot it anyway and it landed 5 feet away from Ryan. It was really funny because he was so afraid of it!!! Then I told him it was a marshmallow and he picked it up off the ground and ATE IT!!!!! It was disgusting because I had dried them out and smashed them and ya. Chapel was really fun too!! We sang a lot of songs and I knew them all so that was awesome!! We had a Ryan's friend, Pastor John, speak to us. The theme of the sermons was spiritual warfare because the theme of camp was ultimate warrior. We read Ephesians 6:11. It was awesome to see how we could fight Satan and his demons that roam the Earth and how we can get them out of our lives. We talked about stuff that distracts us from God and how we can get rid of those distractions and focus on God more. It was really awesome and Pastor John was a really good speaker. We also played a night game where you had half a q-tip and you had to find one of the three "token ladies" who had chips to give you if you found them. They made a lot of noise BUT they had guards who guarded them and if one of the guards tagged you, you had to give them your q-tip but if you made it, you traded your q-tip in for a chip from the "token lady". If your q-tip was taken, you had to go back to the chapel and the guards there had to make you do something for another q-tip. If you got a token, you went back to the chapel and traded it in for another q-tip. The contest was 7th grade against 8th grade so the jail guards kept the chips for you in either the 7th grade section or the 8th grade section. Unfortunately, the 8th graders won but I think they got lucky. Anyway, I got a chip and was never tagged!! Which was awesome!! One of the other games was a sharpie fight between two girls and two boys! It was really funny!! There was another game where you had to stick one of those small powered doughnuts on a stick that the person in front of you was holding in their mouth. The trick was: you had to use your mouth to put the doughnut on the stick!!! I got to do this and there was to 7th grade girls paired up (including me), two 8th grade girls paired up, two 7th grade boys paired up, and two 8th grade boys paired up. We lost but it was really fun!! One of the ultimate warrior games was you had to put a trash can over your head and run across to the other teams side diagonally (there were four teams) and run it back!! It was really funny when people went too far and bumped into each other!! Our team almost won but we didn't. We were one person short!! The second challenge was to come up with a team cheer/name!! My team won that!! The third challenge was this: the leaders poured some diet coke in your mouth and put a mento in your mouth and then you had to run across the field and spit whatever was left into a cup that one of the people on your team was holding!!! Every one's mouths were exploding!!! It was really funny!! The fourth challenge was like sharks and minnows except the "sharks" had water cups and if you were splashed by water, you became a "shark" and got your own water cups. I didn't win but it was really fun!! The fifth challenge was in the chapel but I didn't participate because I was tired. The rooms we stayed in had to fit 6 to a room and there was no hot water!! So when I took a shower, it was freezing!! We also had a human Foosball court outside of our room!! It was really fun to play human Foosball!!! We (the triplets, Maddie, and me) were walking back from playing Foosball and we walked by a beehive and Sara and I got stung!! It kinda hurt but it wasn't that bad. Well..... there was any "summary" of my weekend! Kinda long, huh??

I WENT TO A CONCERT SUNDAY NIGHT!!!! It was so awesome!! Toby Mac was there and he sang!!!!! Third Day and Michael W. Smith were there too. Toby Mac did AWESOME!!! He was high-energy and inspiring. So was Third Day!! We didn't stay for Michael W. Smith because it would have been to late for us and we had school next day. I heard he was really good though. I also got a Toby Mac shirt!!!!! It is so awesome!! I love it!! I wish all you guys could have been there with me!!! It was so fun!!!

Well.......... I got two days for fall break BUT we went to Pinetop!!! So fall break wasn't that bad. We took a walk by a stream, played at the forts, and hung out! It is really cold up here!! I wish all you guys could be up here with me though...... I can't wait to go again!!

Why? Why? Why do I have to slave away at school while other people have fall break? I know some of you are going to say, "But I don't have a fall break!" But thats because either you are homeschooled or you go to a private school. (or you go to BASIS) Anyway, most NORMAL schools have a WEEK off. I have two days. TWO DAYS!!! And those days are Thursday and Friday. I mean come on. Seriously. We could at least get a week off....... BUT NO! THIS IS BASIS SO YOU GUYS HAVE TO WORK AND SLAVE AWAY AT SCHOOL WHILE OTHER KIDS SIT AROUND AND PLAY VIDEOGAMES!!!! At least thats what I think. Enjoy you fall break.

Today was Matthew's 2nd birthday!!!! (Matthew is my little cousin for all of you who don't know) It was funny to watch him blow out the candles on his cake! He would blow to softly and would have to blow harder to blow them out!! lol! And he loved all his presents! In fact he loved his hokey pokey elmo so much that when my aunt told him it was time to open another present, he said, "NO" It was so hilarious!! Michael and I kept guessing what was inside the presents. One time he said that the present contained eatable things and I said that it contained toxic things. So when Matthew pulled out oreos, i said, "I told you they were toxic!" and Michael and I started cracking up! It was so fun and hilarious! Happy Birthday Matthew!!!!

HAIL!!!!!! (and rain)

Wow! It was raining at my school but not hailing! I get home and see hail the size of golf balls in my yard still and it had hailed an hour ago!!! My mom said that the hail was the size of baseballs!! AND we have a hole in our skylight in our laundry room!!!!! OMW!!! IT'S STILL RAINING TOO!!!! Rain and hail are sooooo awesome (unless you end up with a hole in your skylight LOL). So ya. I don't know if it rained at your house, but if it didn't, that stinks for you. I mean rain and hail are awesome!

Homework hasn't been that bad this week. So, I have all this extra time on my hands....... so I decided to post more! (if I remember lol) But I forgot what it was like to come home from school and not have any homework! It was kinda fun! Cause I could do stuff that I wouldn't normally be able to do! So I got a lot of stuff done. I still need to put up my fall decorations in my room...... But, I keep forgetting! So ya. So now I'm bored because I have nothing to post about!! .... Maddie's chocolate covered pretzels are sooooooooo good! I got some for my birthday and they were awesome!!! I think that all of you who are reading this blog should ask her for some and "tip" her! I mean they are awesome!!!!!!!! And besides, Maddie is a good pastry chef. And she's my friend. So, you should definitely check out her chocolate covered pretzels!! (I can help with that) ;) I mean, who doesn't like chocolate covered pretzels!!!!!

Homework.......... it never ceases.................... AND I TRY TO HAVE A SOCIAL LIFE!!!!!!!!!! NOT HELPING!!!!!!! so ya. I mean I TRY to hang out with people......... but either they have too much homework or I have too much homework........ I MEAN COME ON!!!! why does life have to include homework?

13th BIRTHDAY

MY 13th BIRTHDAY WAS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! I had sooooooooo much fun on my birthday and thank you guys for all the birthday calls!!!! I had my favorite dinner and I went to Golden Spoon!!!!!!! It was so much fun!! Can't wait for tomorrow!!!!!

The Rebelution Conference!!

The Rebelution Conference was awesome!!!! It was so amazing and inspiring to know that it is possible to do other things besides waste your life. To know that as a teenager you can do hard things. I felt like I was important and not just some teenager who couldn't do anything. I thought that was awesome! I also got my t-shirt signed!! That was cool! If you didn't come to the Rebelution Conference, you definitely should have. If they ever come back to Phoenix, you better go to the Conference. And you could volunteer! Like Emma, Dorian, Maddie, and I did! Anyway, I encourage everyone reading this blog to become rebelutionaries. Keep the faith!!

The Evil Eye!!

I was surfing through the pictures on the computer the other day and I found this! It made me laugh out loud! I took this photo of Maggie a while ago. I showed Charlie and Jack and we all nick-named it the "Evil Eye". dun dun dun...... it was really funny because I took this photo on accident! (yes I took the photo. NOT Emma. ME) So that is the story of one of the best pictures in the history of this computer (in my opinion) Hope it makes you laugh as much as it did me and my fam! ;)

School

School actually turned out better than I thought. I think my Spanish teacher is the one who I said was amazing! I'm so happy!! :) But if I don't have her and I end up with the other teacher, Senura Slebos,........... I will fail. Literally. She is the worst teacher in the world! We have her as a subsitute because our other teacher is somewhere The teacher we have right now is the music teacher but they are going to get us a Spanish teacher.... they just need to find a Spanish teacher that is not Senura Slebos. Because we would have a pretty big class if we all had her. Like 40 to 50 kids. So my class is probably getting the awesome Latin teacher that I had last year. Anyway I got into 2D art! (even though I wanted to get into 3D art, I'm still happy about that) So school got better! Hope everyone has a great school year! (and since you are all bored about my boring school stories.... I'll try not to talk about school anymore ;) ... unless it is interesting)

First Day of School

Um....... the first day of school was......... um........ interesting. I had one person in my class that was in my class last year so I hardly knew anyone. (besides we have like all the "popular" people in our class) My chemistry teacher was......... interesting. My biology teacher is too plain and simple for me. My english teacher is cool. My physics teacher is......... strict. I don't know who my Spanish teacher is....... I'm hoping it's the Latin teacher I had last year........ cause she is an amazing teacher and she's teaching a Spanish class and some other teacher is teaching the others..... I think. My history teacher........ I didn't meet him. My art teacher is ok. My math teacher.... I didn't meet him either. So....... you can see why the first day of school was interesting. I don't even have my schedule yet!!! So tomorrow will be interesting too. Well, if you have started school already....... I hope you had a better day than me!

Back to School

I have to go back to school tomorrow...... :( So i won't be posting as much because i have a lot of homework and stuff....... so i probably won't be posting for quiet a while..... I'll try my best to post though!

California

Ya, I haven't been posting for a while. But now I will be! We went to California! Charlie hadn't been to Sea World so we went there!! We saw Shamu and the dolphins and every thing else! I also rode on Antlatis, which is a roller coaster that invovles water!! I rode on it 3 times!!! We left our hotel the next day and were able to stay at my mom's friend's house while she was away! They have tons of different beaches around them so we went to the beach on Sunday and Monday!! We had fun building sand castles and playing in the water! My mom has photos, but they are on her phone. :( The 2nd beach we went to had tons of rocks in the ocean!! Like the whole bottom was covered!! So I had the chance to look for rocks!! There weren't too many that were appealing, but I found a few that suited my taste. It was really fun to be in the cold weather!!

While I was in Pinetop, my cousins and I went on a walk and took pictures of several different flowers!

I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!! I can eat and it doesn't hurt as much! I'm so happy!!!! :) I also went to Abi's b-day party today!!! I had soooo much fun!!!!! I will continue to get better and post more (if I'm not in Pintop :P) More to come!!!!!!

I unfortunately had to get my tonsils out. Yes Emma was right. It hurts. But now I'm much better!! But the medicine makes my stomach hurt and my breath smell. :( At least I feel better!!! And I can finally eat stuff that will fill my growling stomach!!! Yay!!! :) Thanks for praying for me!! I really appreciate it. Maybe after I'm a little better I will post more!! Yeah, I know. I was extremely busy on Friday, I went to Pinetop on Saturday and stayed until today, when we came back. So I'm going to do Kondowa today and my safari tomorrow! I will combine my safari into one post!

The experience in Kondowa was amazing and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I'm going by my journal, so if my days aren't the same as Emma's..... (I'm just looking at the day in my journal that says "June 9th, 2009")

Anyway, I don't have pictures for today because today was our last day in Arusha (I think). We basically went to a market there that had most of the things I bought for the people who sponsored me. And I bought a club there. It was really cool. There were a lot of bracelets and necklaces. There was tons of cool stuff that was all made by hand. I had to learn how to bargain because the stuff that they were selling wasn't priced so we had to bargain for a price that seemed reasonable.

After "shopping", I went back to Arusha, packed, and played cards with Emma. Overall, this day wasn't as neat as some of the other days, but it was still cool when I was there.

Tanzania

Today we would have woken up at our "hotel" and packed up. Then we would have gone to the school for the last time to eat breakfast. We had to say good bye to all of the kids. It was sad to leave the school. I really want to go back there.

Before we left Mirowa, we got to go to a market there!! It was full of natives and "stores" made out of sticks. There was a lot of merchandise that the natives sold. It was really amazing to see how these people shopped and sold. It was quite an experience.

After going to the market, we drove all the way back to Arusha and Emma and I had a fun afternoon of card games and swimming (the pool was FREEZING) :D

All in all, I had a great experience in Mirowa. It will be something I will never forget!!!!!! I wish I was there right now. If I had a choice, I would be there, helping and serving. I want to go back to Mirowa. Maybe after I get an education, I'll go back and become a missionary there.

These pictures are of when we got to the school in Mirowa. I remember getting out and being surrounded by kids wanting to know your name, touching your skin and hair, and being totally excited that you were there. They fought over holding your hand, they wanted to talk to you, and just touch you. It was an amazing experience.

On Sunday, our team split up into groups and went to church! Our church was very small and my dad, Sharo, and I had to preach a sermon while the translator translated it. Then we listened to a sermon from the preacher. After church, the pastor and his friends invited us to stay and have some soda! It was cold and I wondered how they kept it so cold!

While we were in Mirowa, we visited sponsor children and I got the chance to meet mine! His name is Mepurda. I remember when we got there and saw him, that he was overwhelmed with all of the gifts that we gave him. I still pray for him each and every day.
